Overview​  

Lagma Jatai Customs office in Jatahi, Dhanusha is situated in the heart of Janakpur city,18 km away from the nearest land border with India.  

​Lagma Jatahi Customs Office, is one of sub-customs office of Janakpur Customs Office and currently major customs services are providing from this border crossing point. Since the railway cargo from Janakpur is closed, the Janakpur Customs office is not busy customs office and major customs services are conducted from Lagma Jatahi Sub-Customs Office.

The Customs procedure is closed on Jesth 15 (28 or 29 April every year) on account of New Fiscal Budget Announcement Day.

Other Relevant Information  

The entry point of Jayanagar- Janakpur is also at the customs point. Track upgrading and scaling up the track is ongoing.  Since the Janakpur customs office is 18 km away from the border, the sub-customs office at Lagmajatahi acts as a major entry point for the goods.  The major Customs service is provided by the Lagma Jatahi Customs Office, Dhanusha.
