Overview 

Bhadrapur Customs Office is located on the west side of Mechi River, Bhadrapur Municipality, Ward No. 7, Jhapa District, Koshi Province of Nepal. Bhadrapur Border Crossing is near Nepal's eastern border at Kishangunj District, Bihar, India. There is a border crossing to Galgalia town with a customs checkpoint. Indian and Nepalese nationals cross without restriction. This customs office has been operating as the main customs office since 2018. There are 5 small customs offices under this office, which include Pathamari, Panthapada, Gherwari, Kechna, and Jhapa Kumarkhod small customs offices. Out of which only Jhapa Kumarkhod Sub-Customs is currently in operation.

Generally, 3 days during Dashain, Chhat-1 day and Holi- 1 day (Nepal national festival) and up to another 7 days / year at Government’s discretion. No any customs procedure is conducted on 15th Jestha (28 or 29 April) due to new tariff is announced through New Fiscal Budget of the year but immigration and passenger checking remains continue.

There is no export taking place through this point as there is no customs office at the India border point. There is only a check post in India. Vegetables, packaged tea, clothes, and raw materials of plywood factories are the main import items from this border point.
