Kangel danda Airport is in Dudhkaushika rural municipality in the central part of Solukhumbu district of Koshi Province. It is one of the four airports in Solukhumbu district (Tenzing-Hillary, Phaplu, Syangboche). It is 12 kms SE of district HQ at Salleri. Road access is limited to the airport and nearest point of feeder road passing by is 6 kms away. This airport is not operational.
The terrain on which the airport is located is hilly and the flights to and from can be difficult due to high wind speeds and low visibility. When it was operational, during rainy season the airport remained closed.
