Port Overview

The Port of Zamboanga is a seaport located in Zamboanga City located in western Mindanao. The international container Port of Zamboanga ranked 2nd in Asia according to the 2010 Super Efficient Ports in Asia study.  The Seaport of Zamboanga has 19 docks, 12 of which are privately owned. The largest dock has capacity for up to 20 vessels, and is operated by the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA).

Port Performance

Based on the PPA 2018 Cargo Throughput Report, PMO Zamboanga had 44,927(RORO) and 551,045(Non RORO) for the 1st quarter and 42,028(RORO) and 624,437(Non RORO) in the 2nd quarter of 2018. There are nineteen seaports or wharves in Zamboanga City, twelve of which are privately owned. The biggest and most modern is the Zamboanga Port, which is operated by the Philippine Port Authority (PPA). It is located at the City's southern tip, and it's main entrance is on R.T. Lim Boulevard. It can hold 20 vessels at a time. This port is designed for larger vessel and can accommodate within 10m draft. Container handling if DTD FCL mode will be shoulder by shipping company.

Humanitarian cargoes are priorities in all Philippine ports during an emergency.

Customs clearing is done at the port. Customs clearing and operations normally takes the usual process and time frame provided that all clearance, exemption and document are process on time.
