Airport Overview

Meghauli Airport is an airport in Meghauli, Bharatpur Metropolitan City in Chitwan district in Bagmati Province. It is one of the two airports in Chitwan, other being Bharatpur Airport. It is 26 km SW of district HQ at Bharatpur. It can be accessed via blacktopped road.

The airport was built in 1961 but operation stopped in 2011. It can be reactivated during emergencies upon authorization of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).
