Minangkabau International Airport is located at Ketaping, Padang Pariaman district about 23 km north-west of Padang. The airport started operations in July 2005, replacing the old Tabing Airport in Padang which is currently used as an Air Force base. There is only one terminal building covering both international and domestic flights.
