Storage facilities are available both in Pattimura international airport as well as in Yos Sudarso sea port. These storage facilities can be utilised in the event of an emergency. If additional storage is required for emergency response operations, Mobile Storage Units (MSUs) can be erected within the airport vicinity upon receiving permission and approval by Indonesian Military (Air Force).

Commercial Storage

Storage Used by Humanitarian Organizations 

Currently, the National Red Cross (Palang Merah Indonesia or PMI) in Maluku Province does not have storage facilities However, they plan to build a warehouse facility in Tual town, Southeast Maluku District.  

Public Sector Storage 

Storage facilities belonging to the public sector such as the National Logistics Agency (BULOG) and Social Office (Dinsos) at the Provincial and District level are available. However, Dinsos warehouses have limited capacity for use in any emergency response. Meanwhile, BULOG warehouses may be utilised for any emergency event.
