Airport Overview

Blimbingsari Airport is under the authorization and operations of Directorate General Civil Aviation of the Ministry of Transportation. Blimbingsari Airport is a small (class III) airport and generally serves passenger and cargo movements from/to Surabaya and Jakarta. The airport located in Banyuwangi district, East Java province, 323 km from Surabaya city and 18 km from Banyuwangi city. The provincial government initiated expansion of the terminal building (construction currently ongoing and is planned for completion by end of Dec 2017). Once completed the operations management will be transfer from the Ministry of transportation to PT. Angkasa Pura II.

They only have small storage building with size 100 sqm, however there is idle space (which could be considered for open storage in emergency response situations).

Security at the airport is good.  All airport boundaries are monitored, access to cargo and passenger areas are restricted with access by permit only.  All entrances are monitored with X-ray equipment.
