Mozambique’s main economic activity is agriculture, which naturally relies on road transport to access markets at district, provincial and national levels.  Being that Mozambique a vast country, the road network and other surface transport networks (e.g. rail and waterways) play a key role in the social and economic development of the country, and the provision of adequate conditions for the mobility of people and goods.
