Overview
Pashupatinagar is near Nepal's eastern border at Darjeeling District, West Bengal, India. There is a border crossing to Sukhiapokhari town with a Custom Checkpoint. Indian and Nepalese nationals cross without restriction. Pashupatinagar is a mountain side market in the Ilam district of Nepal which is just 2 kilometers away from the borer of India on the Darjeeling Mirik road.
The government opened an immigration office, a convenient India Nepal border crossing in the eastern hills of Nepal, here to facilitate the movement of tourists from India only to Pashupatinagar, Nepal.
Pashupati Nagar neighborhood of India is on the other side. Pashupatinagar border crossing is the minor crossing point to east of Nepal.

No loaded trucks enter through this border crossing. Only Cars and Motorbike are allowed to cross the border point. On average, daily 150 cars and motorcycles cross the point. Due to no functional Indian customs, no import is undergoing through this border point. India has opened a check post only.

Indian nationals can get the permission based on Voter card, Adhaar card or Pan card. While Nepali citizens requires citizenship Card, PAN Card, Driving Licence, Passport and other any documents which reflects Nepali Residence to enter India. It takes 5-10 minute for immigration if required document authentic.
