In Laos, the Lao Trade Union is the body which files request for the government for adjustment of labour wage. Currently, local minimum labor wage is 900,000 Kips/person/month, which became officially effective on April 2015.

There are currently no formal manual labour companies or associations. Most factories, millers, or traders have their own labour force or hire on an individual adhoc basis.
