4.5 Bangladesh Airport Contact List

At present the Civil Aviation Authority in Bangladesh’s activities are being carried out from 3 international airports, 5 domestic airports and 7 STOL (Short Take-off and Landing) airports, with 1 new domestic airport under construction:


International Airports:
Zia International Airport, Dhaka
This is the largest and the principal international airport of the country. Almost all international passengers embark at and disembark from Zia. More than 90% of all aeronautical functions of CAAB are carried out from here.


Shah Amanat International Airport, Chittagong
It is the second largest airport and the alternate airport to ZIA.


Osmani International Airport, Sylhet
This airport in the North-East corner of the country has been upgraded to an international airport in order to facilitate the people of the district (there is a large number of residents from the United Kingdom).
