Storage Assessment

WFP counterparts have 7,000 Mt of warehouse capacity used only for food items
In addition, there is The Syrian Storage & Refrigerator company which has warehouse capacity for 60,000 Mt of food (Source: Central Bureau of Statistics: 2005)
Building a new warehouse is not easy in Syria as there are as many as 26 procedures to be fulfilled which can take about 128 days with many associated costs.
