Storage Facilities
There are small purpose built warehouses for the ground handling companies:
-
Import Cargo WH of approximately 500 M2
-
Export Cargo WH of approximately 500 M2
-
There are no cold storage or strong box facilities.
-
For emergency responses Angkasa Pura indicated that there is plenty of un-surfaced space to the north end of the cargo terminal that could be used as open storage if the airport was to be utilized as a Humanitarian Staging Area (HSA).
-
Angkasa Pura also indicated that they could desigante 0.6 Ha of apron space in fron of the cargo terminal for the HSA.
-
Additionally there is an area of approximately 2 Ha that has been cleared as part of the construction of the new terminal but has no designated use.
-
The air force base on the opposite side of the runway has much larger open areas and surfaces aprons and hangers that could facilitate a HSA within the airport perimeter – if permission was obtained.
