Airport Overview
Abeid Amani Karume International is the main airport of Zanzibar archipelago. It is located 5 km from Stone Town and there are regular flight connections with the main cities in Tanzania and Eastern Africa region as well as flights to Europe and Middle East. The airport is the hub for ZanAir, the Zanzibar main domestic airline. Even if there is cargo transiting through the airport, the main activities are oriented on passenger transit.
