The government of Myanmar in corporation with China is in the process of constructing a deep- sea port at Pa Del Kyun village which is 1 hour by boat from Kyauk Phyu downtown. This deep sea port is almost finished but it will be used by the oil & gas industry only, it will not be available for commercial cargo. Myanmar oil and gas enterprise (MOGE) and a Chinese corporation will control this deep-sea port.
