Port Overview
The Port of Virac is a port of entry located on the west side of the head of Cabugao Bay, on the south coast of Catanduanes Island. The main exports are hemp, logs and copra. Approximately 400 vessels and 118,000 MT of cargo are handled annually. Max draught is 6.8 m. Catanduanes Island is situated on the eastern side of Luzon and is on the usual path of tropical depressions originating from the Pacific Ocean. UN LOCODE: PHVRC

Multipurpose Terminal
The Port of Virac has 2 RORO ramp berthing facilities, using Mediterranean docking for domestic passenger ferries and cargo vessels from Tabaco Albay. There is a 1200 m2 open storage area and 4 berthing locations. The passenger and cargo terminal building is 384 m2.
