Port Overview

The Port of Matnog is the busiest passenger terminal in southern Luzon and is the jump off point to Central Visayas and Mindanao. Small vessels can take anchorage in Matnog Bay, in a depth of 5.5 m, about 400 m from the beach. Larger vessels can anchor in the middle of the bay in depths of 14.6 m. Vessels wishing to enter Matnog Bay may bring the sharp conical summit on Ticlin Island astern, bearing 090°, and anchor according to draft. Matnog's LOCODE is PHMTN.

The Port of Matnog is a Ro-Ro berthing facility using Mediterranean docking and caters to domestic passenger ferries and cargo vessels. It has a 5000 m2 open storage area and 5 berthing locations. The terminal building  is 2,144 m2.
