The Terminal Facilities and Services Corporation (TEFASCO) Port is a private commercial & common user port strategically located in Barangay Ilang, Davao City's north side, a  30-minute drive from the downtown area. TEFASCO started operations in November 1977 in augmentation to the City Government’s port in Sasa which was experiencing berth congestion at the time when export of lumber and other agricultural products were at its peak. TEFASCO is operating 24/7, observing only three holidays (New Year, Good Friday & Christmas Day) in a year.
