Seasonal Constraints |
During the rainy season, the Cavalla river is prone to overflowing its banks and also the current is a lot stronger during the rains. This increase in the currant temporarily ruptures the boat service between the two countries. There is a privately-owned motorboat with capacity of 25 passengers which is used to cross the river. The Liberian cellular network has no coverage at this border crossing point. |
Daily Capacity
During the dry season when the motorboat can function, there is an average of 35 people who are crossing between the two countries per day.
Customs Clearance
The customs officers at this border have the authority to levy duties.
