The regional airports in the North include Karakol, Naryn, Talas, Kazarman and regional airports in the south include Jalal-Abad, Kerben, Batken, Isfana. Airport Issyk-Kul is largest of the regional airports after Osh airport. At present only Osh, Isfana, Batken, Jalal-Abad operate commercial flights. Talas, Kazarman, Naryn do not operate commercial flights but are operational airports. Yak-40 and AN-24 are used extensively within Kyrgyzstan. Talas, Kazarman, Naryn airports can experience flight cancellations during winter due to a lack of snow-removal equipment.
