Port Overview

The port of Antsohihy is situated on the river bank and its only function is to ensure the connection with the district of Analalava (population estimated at more than 100’000 inhab.) Analalava is located about 60 km northwest and is only accessible this way.

Departures are daily passengers/goods.

The boats are mostly “boutres”, (local wooden made), and the goods that transit are bagged or packaged in small quantities.
