The Logistics Capacity Assessment (LCA), a long-standing tool of WFP Logistics, has since 2008 also incorporated information relevant to Logistics Cluster partners and is being shared as an interagency tool via the Logistics Cluster website.

WFP Logistics took the initiative to improve the user-friendliness of the LCA by creating a digital version of the tool, available in both online and offline modes. It is expected that the digital LCA (D-LCA) not only will make the information easier to share and to use, but also offer possibilities of gathering and comparing information from various countries and regions.

The intention and expected benefit from the D-LCA project is that it will contribute to improved emergency preparedness both for WFP Logistics and for the wider humanitarian community, through the Logistics Cluster website.
